Hard disk shortage; PC sales stall and prices shoot up

While the christmas season should have been the time for pc sales to
reach an all time high, the recent flood in Thailand has made pc sales
drop conciderabley. Segate, WD, Thoshiba and many other har disc
manufacturers have lost a majority of their manufacturing facilities
in thailand, causing an accute shortage of HDDs across the globe.
Prices have more than doubled, and PC vendors have been unable to ship
enough PCs to satisfy shoppers this christmas.
